Fort Whyte EcoVillage Master Plan

Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada

Client: Fort Whyte Alive

This master plan for an eco-village in Canada is inspired by the hydrological urbanism of the English Cotswolds. A mixture of building uses has been clustered around natural features, including 125 dwelling units and 100,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. A robust sustainable agenda governs the development, with core tenets including habitat preservation, local agriculture, human wellness, and renewable energy (including the innovative use of geothermal technology).
