Mt. Wilson Observatory Enhancement Plan

This enhancement plan enhances the experience of the Mt. Wilson Observatory with a new visitor center facility and improved open spaces around the site’s historical astronomical instruments. The design upgrades this scientific heritage site with a higher-capacity visitor experience with improved parking, new facilities, and wayfinding. Given the Observatory’s location within the wildland-urban interface, great care has been taken to develop a resilience plan to ensure the site endures for generations to come.
