The Golden Triangle in Beverly Hills is among the most prestigious retail addresses in the world. Moule & Polyzoides developed a combination of policy, design, and management initiatives on behalf of the city to strengthen the district’s physical character, economic prospects, and commercial cachet. The Plan includes a number of coordinated measures: transforming the area into a park-once district; widening sidewalks and introducing mid-block crosswalks where pedestrian traffic is heavy; upgrading all streets with improved landscape, lighting, signage and public art; adopting a code to ensure the proper form and design of future buildings; and instituting a management plan to improve and maintain the district’s physical appearance and retail mix.
