This 360-unit village is located on a hilly forested site in Panama fronting one of the best surfing beaches in Central America with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. The project has three parts: a town center at its southeastern corner centered on a beach-facing plaza, a medium-sized single-family neighborhood on the flatter southern portions of the site, and large single-family villas higher on the hill.
It is designed around a network of winding streets and open spaces that respects the topography, minimizing cut-and-fill, and conserves the existing arroyos and tree clusters. Most blocks have internal-block stepped walkways that connect streets at different levels. Dwelling types range from stacked apartments and town homes to detached cottages and large villas.
